At the core, I am a writer through and through. As a writer, I prefer to be addressed as 'Chi' - my chosen pen name.

     I vividly recall scribbling on a piece of parchment in 8th grade, trying to pen down all the complicated emotions I was feeling on an oddly peculiar rainy day. There was a knowing, a shift I had sensed deep down. Monsoon has always given me a sense of life and connected me with unknown mysteries, as a feeling. In that first drizzle of monsoon after the scorching hot summer that year, with soothing petrichor emanating, quenching thirsty earth, nostalgia stirred and churned in me as the energy of yin and yang. I was unable to contain it all and had to let it out. This was when I exploded, all my emotions scattered on that parchment aligning with the environment around me. When I read those words, it was a melody that echoed in my surroundings as if everything was linked, everything synchronized. 

     It was my very first poem. This was the moment I embarked on the journey of becoming a 'Writer'.
